GC Rieber VivoMega is approved by Møre og Romsdal county as an apprenticeship company for the following two disciplines:

  • Chemistry and Process
  • Industrial Mechanics

Last week four of our Interns passed their exams. Hanna Maur Svensen has spent the last four years with us before she graduated. Sigurd Aukan Varvin, Mathias Kvisvik Avset and Runar Olsen Bjerkelund have combined school and apprenticeship over the last two years.

Beeing an approved apprenticeship company is a hallmark of quality and shows that the company engages in the community and take community responsibility.

Here at GC Rieber VivoMega, the apprentices have to follow a tutorial plan as well as being implemented as a part of the workforce. They get to experience and learn first hand about advanced and highly technical production processes and equipment used in the world leading production of high quality omega-3 concentrates. The apprentices are given responsibilities under close guidance and training. In 2021/2022 we have had 8 apprentices, which constitutes approximately 10% of the total workforce.

We have a long history of cooperating with the local high school and vocational school. Since 2016, 14 apprentices have completed their trade certificate with the highest remark. We are incredibly proud of this, and it is due to great and dedicated work by the apprentices and the team behind them.

In total, we have recruited 7 of the apprentices that have taken their apprentice exam and trade certificate at GC Rieber VivoMega.

We wish the very best for our four apprentices that graduated and hope that they will consider coming back to us when they have finished their degree. With the new factory being built, we always need relevant competance.
