Omega-3 EPA and DHA are considered essential fatty acids and they are critical to human health and our overall wellbeing.
More than 40,000 studies have shown the health benefits associated with Omega-3 EPA and DHA starting from birth through to our senior years. Since our body cannot produce enough of these healthy fats, it is essential for us to consume it. Omega-3 is found in fish such as salmon, sardines and anchovy. Unfortunately, in our modern diet we generally do not consume enough Omega-3. Getting an adequate intake of Omega-3 can be achieved by eating oily fish several times a week or taking a concentrated fish oil supplement.
